COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING
FOR CLINCAL SUPERVISORS

THE ART OF CLINICAL SUPERVISION:
FACILITATING A DISCOVERY PROCESS™

Joanna will be offering a NEW TRAINING OPTION FOR SUPERVISORS this year. This course offers 24 CE credits and meets the requirements for continuing education for the LPCA Registry of Approved Supervisors.   This series has been approved for CE credit as 4 segments of 6 hours each; this allows you the convenience of scheduling each session on an 'individualized' basis.

The segments must be scheduled between JUNE 1, 2006 and MAY 31, 2007 and must be taken sequentially.   If you have previously taken a supervision workshop with Joanna (or elsewhere), please call to clarify which segments you have completed.

All training segments include lecture, discussion, reflective and interactive exercises, role-plays, and case presentations.   Supervisory issues in ALL clinical settings are addressed.   An extensive manual is included.

Part I-A                            Assuming the Supervisor Role

6 hours of Core CE, includes 3 hours of Ethics

This section covers: understanding the supervision experience, standards for supervisors, roles of supervisors, ethical guidelines for supervisors, understanding the supervisor's liability, interviewing a supervisee, and writing a supervision contract.

INFORMATION ON SCHEDULING AND FEES FOR
THE ART OF CLINICAL SUPERVISION: FACILITATING A DISCOVERY PROCESS™

This training series has been designed for maximum flexibility in scheduling.

Each participant must enroll for at least 6 hours, which is the length of each CE-approved segment of the training.   But rather than attending specific set dates, the schedule may be set by the participant and the trainer in sessions of at least 2 hours at a time.    To receive continuing education credit, you must complete a 6-hour segment.

If you have previously taken a one- or two-day supervision workshop with Joanna (or elsewhere), you can call Joanna to clarify which of the four segments you have completed and where you would fit in the sequence of the trainings.

If you are scheduling the training on an individual basis, the fee is $120 per hour (the regular hourly consultation fee).   Interactive exercises will be adapted so that they can be done with the trainer.   You will receive individual attention to your specific concerns and will have time for your specific cases to be discussed.

If you wish to share your scheduled times with other therapists, please let the trainer know.   The trainer does NOT guarantee that another participant will be scheduled to share your times, but if you wish to share, your times will be offered to all participants who call to schedule for the same segment of training.

The more flexibility you have in scheduling, the more likely it is that someone will share the time with you.   You are also invited to form your own group of participants, as long as each participant qualifies for the same segment of training.

The fees for shared sessions are as follows:

2 participants: $80 each per hour

3 participants: $55 each per hour

4 participants: $40 each per hour

All fees include continuing education certificate and extensive training manual.

A deposit of a one-hour fee is due at the time of registration/scheduling.   In order to receive a refund, cancellations or schedule changes must be made at least 10 days in advance for blocks of 2 hours or less and at least 20 days in advance for blocks of more than 2 hours.
